Since more than 100 years in Pitztal there were taken excellent photos by progressive natives.

Awesome photo-results you can admire in (at) the gallery on 1^st floor of the house “Schrofen”. Here you also can find out many things about the history of the valley.

On the 2^nd floor you will gain inside to the extinction and reintroduction of the ibex in the alps.

In the centre you will find also a gastronomical experience. The restaurant “Ansitz am Schrofen” attaches value on preparing meals using regional products. They are served in the snugly sittingroom of stone pine-furniture and on the sun terrace with an impressive panoramic view.

From the exhibition the compound of the ibex is approachable directly over a bridge.
There you will be able to watch these majestic animals up close, without coming too close to them. Our animals are accustomed to humans. Moreover you can find out
worth knowing about their characteristics. 

Two convenient walking trails (also for baby carriages) give you inspiring information’s and lead to the house on Schrofen.
Already on your way you will meet first features of the ibex and the marmots.
